The UltraKote®
System |
In 1995, Amalgamated was granted U.S
Patent #5,384,160 for a method to apply a waterbase coating
composition in a printing process. The technology was introduced
as the Ultra-Kote Coating Processing system. In 1997 the
technology was licensed to S.C. Johnson Wax to form the Claris
Division. The system was recognized by Who's Who in Packaging
Printing and is now being marketed in Europe and Japan.
The benefits of utilizing the system are numerous and include:
• Providing a temperature controlled coating recirculation
system that maintains viscosity at a predetermined and optimized
level
• Coating weight is consistent throughout the entire run
from start to finish, eliminating the need for press-side readjustments
in application.
• Consistency in abrasion and gloss levels
• Increased coating mileage

The Ultra-Kote processing delivery system
and its uniquely formulated coating technology IS GUARANTEED
to deliver more coating mileage per square inch of image area;
a patented feature that cannot be duplicated with today’s
coating formulas and application methods. |
